
Mohammed Abdulsalam, Spokesman of Yemen’s Anssarallah Movement and senior negotiator of the Sana’a National Salvation Government, welcomed Italy’s decision to halt arms exports to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
“Italy’s announcement to stop selling weapons to countries that launch “aggression” against Yemen is a positive step, which contributes to protecting civilians and supporting the peace process,” Abdulsalam wrote in a post published on his official Twitter page late Friday.
Earlier on Friday, Italy announced the suspension of arms exports to Both Saudi Arabia and the UAE because of their involvement in the war in Yemen.
