Sana’a Released 42 of Coalition Prisoners

Sana’a-based National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs on Saturday released 42 prisoners of the Saudi-backed forces under the order of the Anssarallah leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi.

In a press statement, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtadha said that “the committee, on a unilateral humanitarian initiative, released 42 prisoners of Saudi coalition forces who received an amnesty from the leader of the revolution Abdul Malik al-Houthi on the occasion of Ramadan month and Eid al-Fitr”.

“The release of the prisoners from the coalition’s forces is a positive message that we hope the other side will receive with similar positivity and initiate the release of a number of prisoners and detainees in their prisons,” he said.

Al-Murtadha stressed the committee’s keenness to succeed the agreement sponsored by the United Nations on the prisoners’ file. He noted that the initiative to release prisoners is a humanitarian message to the United Nations and the other party to move forward with the implementation of the UN-sponsored agreement on prisoners.
