After Mutual Visits Saudi, Houthi Delegations Return Homes
The Saudi delegation visiting to Saudi war prisoners in Yemen custody left the capital Sana’a on Saturday.
Head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs in Sana’a, Abdelqader Al-Murtada, said in a tweet on Twitter: “Today we bid farewell to the Saudi delegation visiting Sanaa, and we received our national delegation in charge of visiting our captives in Saudi Arabia to see the conditions of the prisoners and reassure them, as well as correcting and revising the lists of contentious names.”
Al-Murtada expressed his hope that the rest of the problems would be resolved soon and that the exchange agreement would be implemented.
On the other hand, the Yemeni delegation in charge of visiting Yemeni prisoners in Saudi prisons arrived Saturday in the capital, Sana’a.
During its visit, which lasted for four consecutive days, the delegation got acquainted with the conditions of Yemeni prisoners in the Saudi prisons and matched their names according to the mechanism agreed upon in the humanitarian file.
These arranged mutual visits of technical delegations between Riyadh and Sana’a came after the agreement agreed upon it in the last negotiations round between the two parties held in the Jordan’s capital, Amman, in order to verify the names of war prisoners and match their names on the reality away from any political discussion or dialogue.
