SNACC Refers 17 Accused to Prosecution
Sana’a-based Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption referred on Sunday 17 accused in a number of corruption cases to the Public Prosecution.
The SNACC directed to stop the accused from work and seize their money and real estate assets equivalent to the damage to public money amounting to $ 1.3 million, in addition to the amount of Y.R 61.7 million to ensure the recovery and collection of state funds.
The SNACC’s decision came after discussing the results of the investigation into a number of corruption cases and approved to refer them with the accused to the Public Funds Prosecution, which is specialized in corruption cases to complete the procedures for filing a criminal case before the Public Funds and SNACC in accordance with the law.
