Sana’a Reveals the Next Step after Mutual Visits with Riyadh
The Prisoners’ Affairs Committee of Sana’a revealed on Monday a previous agreement with Saudi Arabia that stipulated the exchange of some prisoners’ bodies during the last period. Noting that the technical mutual committees between Sana’a and Riyadh led to correcting the lists of names and visiting the prisoners, especially that the Saudi regime was denying the existence of some names on it.
The head of the committee, Abdul Qader Al-Murtada, said that the technical team affiliated with Sana’a visited all the prisoners we know that they are in the Kingdom; he met a number of wounded people in Khamis Mushait base prison in Abha. Noting that the lists were discussed with the Saudi side, the names and agreement were confirmed on a final list to implement the agreement concluded last March.
Al-Murtada confirmed to the Saudi team that the agreement is comprehensive, and it is not possible to complete any deal that concerns the Saudis only, this is what is stipulated in the Jordan agreement. Pointing out that Islah forces in Marib, loyal to the coalition, are obstructing the “success of the prisoner release deal.”
The head of Sana’a Prisoners Committee indicated that the Saudi regime is responsible for obligating the forces loyal to it in Marib through agreement if he wants to complete the deal. He added, “The supposed step after these visits is for the Saudi delegation to solve the problems in Marib, the coast and the south.” We are ready to implement the agreement,” he said.
