UAE Evacuates Its Forces from Aden
The UAE on Saturday evacuated its forces from the headquarters of the Riyadh-formed “Presidential Council” and the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.
According to Yemen press agency, Southern media reported that this comes amid mounting fears of a possible attack that might target Emirati forces in Aden and Ma’ashiq Palace.
The talk of a possible attack on Ma’ashiq coincided with the withdrawal of the Emirati forces charged with protecting head of the presidential council, Rashad Al-Alimi, who has just returned from Riyadh, which indicates the presence of threats of some kind.
