Sana’a Launched Economic Project that Will Benefit 6000 Cases
The “General Authority for Zakat” in Sana’a announced, on Saturday, the inauguration of “a project for distributing zakat in-kind for cash crops, at a cost of 110 million and 687 thousand riyals, targeting “six thousand cases of people with special needs and orphans in orphanages of the Capital Municipality.” malnutrition patients, burns, and the poorest families in Ad Durayhimi district within the Poor and Needy bank, and members of communities, in addition to the prisoners of the coalition.”
At the inauguration, the head of the authority, Shamsan Abu Nastan, said that “the project is among 17 projects implemented by the authority on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, at a cost of more than 10 billion riyals.” He pointed out that “it includes six thousand bags of cash crops within in-kind zakat, which contain honey, raisins, coffee, husks, almonds, sesame oil and other crops.”
He stressed the authority’s keenness to provide the needs of the poor and needy in various aspects of their food, clothing, health and nutrition, an embodiment to the greatness of Islam pillars and its revival after decades of absence.”
He added: “We are on a date with the launch of the giant project in economic empowerment, through which we will empower ten thousand, and 50 young graduates of vocational institutes in various professional disciplines, of these, 25 programs are in the capital’s secretariat and 12 programs in Hodeida as a first stage, and then it will include various provinces.”
