American Hint that the Horizon of Peace in Yemen Is Blocked
The United States hinted on Saturday, at the failure of efforts to achieve peace in Yemen. This followed a tour of its envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, which included Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Exclusive-alkhabar alyemeni:
US State Department reported that it is working “relentlessly” to end the conflict in Yemen.
This came after Lenderking’s meeting with the Saudi ambassador to Yemen, Muhammad Al Jaber, which indicates complications that impede the envoy’s path in achieving a breakthrough in the peace file.
The United States announced the dispatch of its envoy last week, in conjunction with reports that negotiations sponsored by the Sultanate of Oman between Riyadh and Sana’a had stalled.
The envoy held several meetings with Saudi officials and UN envoy to Yemen, while the American statements come on the eve of the escalation return to the forefront of the scene.
Several Yemeni cities witnessed demonstrations bearing the slogan “Siege is a war” to support Sana’a forces in resolving the siege file.
