US Interventions Reportedly Increased in Hadramout
Sources loyal to the Saudi-led coalition revealed that US exercises were conducted in oil-rich of Hadramout, eastern Yemen, YPA said on Thursday.
Sources pointed out that the US forces have conducted various exercises in recent days for recruits of the “second military region” loyal to the UAE at Al-Rayyan airport.
According to the sources, the US forces took over the process of training the region’s recruits with the aim of sending them to Mahra, likely to send some of them to the directorates of Wadi Hadramout, amid demands of the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia to remove the gunmen of the “First Military Region” affiliated with Islah party from the city of Seiyun.
The same sources pointed out that the recent US moves in Hadramout are to take advantage of the current escalation between the Islah Party militants and the “STC” militia, since the latter announced the “Arrows of the East” operation last August, towards the districts of Wadi Hadramout.
American and French interests focused on the oil-rich eastern regions of Yemen, which were revealed by the repeated visits of the American and French ambassadors to the governorates of Hadramout and Shabwa, to obtain energy sources by looting more Yemeni oil.
