Israeli Deal between Tariq and al-Zubaidi on Bab al-Mandab
Israel concluded a new deal between Tariq Saleh, the leader of pro-UAE factions on the western coast of Yemen, and Aidros Al-Zubaidi, the head of the Transitional Council and the leader of UAE factions in the south.
The leader of the “Southern Resistance,” Adel al-Hassani, revealed that an Israeli delegation met Tariq and al-Zubaidi a few days ago in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi. Pointing out that the meeting was devoted to discussing the situation in Bab al-Mandab, which is disputed by both sides.
Tariq and Al-Zubaidi appeared earlier last month in an unprecedented attempt to show off their opponents in Yemen, most notably Islah party.
Diplomatic sources reported that Mossad offered a deal to the two leaders that included an Israeli presence on Mayyun Island, In exchange for privileges, most notably military support in Hadhramaut and Marib.
Israel is throwing all its weight to gain a foothold on the western and southern coasts of Yemen, where it is currently participating in a military presence in Socotra under the cover of the Saudi-Emirati coalition, and its leaders have previously admitted providing logistical support to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
Tel Aviv also seeks to make torn Yemen another country in the Gulf to print with after Sudan, which allows it to have a military presence through which it can control the international shipping lines to control its passage towards its coasts on the Red Sea, which aspires to construct a canal parallel to the Egyptian Suez Canal, which is subjected to successive blows and has recently escalated.
