UN Envoy Warns of Repercussions of Houthis’ Impatience
The UN envoy for Yemen revealed, on Wednesday, developments in the situation in Yemen, during his new briefing to the UN Security Council.

In his briefing, Hans Grodenberg recalled a phrase by the leader of the “Anssarallah movement,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, in his recent speech, warning of “impatience,” considering that this increases the risk of returning to the war cycle.
Grodenberg played down the importance of efforts to declare a temporary armistice, stressing the need for a more comprehensive approach to achieve a comprehensive settlement and sustainable stability.
The Security Council held two sessions this evening, one open and the other closed, to discuss developments in Yemen.
The session comes on the reality of the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement, amid expectations that this will have a positive impact on the situation in Yemen.
