Egypt reveals gruesome details of the assassination of a Yemeni official in Cairo
On Saturday, Egypt revealed gruesome details of the assassination of a high-ranking Yemeni military official in “Hadi” forces by UAE intelligence.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Part of the investigations into the assassination of Abdulqader Al-Omoudi, a consultant to the Ma’een government’s minister of defense, were revealed by Egyptian activist Bushra Basyouni.
According to Basyouni, the UAE intelligence hired a “poor” Egyptian youth to carry out the operation by driving a truck loaded with gas cylinders to run over Al-Omoudi. She mentioned that he had been under surveillance by UAE intelligence agents after disagreements with its officers in Yemen.
Investigations, in accordance with Basyouni, proved that the UAE elements had asked the Egyptian truck driver to pull over on Ka’abish Street in Faisal City next to Al-Omoudi’s apartment in the Walid Tower, where he turned his truck and ran over Al-Omoudi as he passed by. She continued by saying that the driver got out of the car after the incident to make sure run over Al-Omoudi’s head and his death.
She linked the assassination of Al-Omoudi to disagreements with UAE officers because he was close to Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who promoted him to the position of Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources, and because he was a part of the structuring.
Although the incident occurred some time ago, it is unknown why Egypt published this information, whether in an effort to intimidate the Emiratis, who are deepening their hostility toward Cairo by aiding the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, or for other motives. Many Yemeni military and political leaders residing in Cairo who have been engaged in a conflict against the Emiratis, however, are concerned about its timing.
