A human rights organization reveals Emirati prisons in Al-Khawkhah
The “SAM for Rights and Freedoms” organization revealed on Tuesday that Emirati factions on the western coast have secret prisons where captives are subjected to various forms of physical torture.
Follow-up – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
According to the organization’s statement, various Emirati factions operate illegal prisons, one of which is “Prison 400,” which is located inside the “Abu Musa Al-Ashari” camp in the city of Al-Khawkhah and is under the direct authority of Tariq Saleh’s brother, “Ammar Saleh.”
The organization confirmed that prisoners in this prison are subjected to physical torture, and visits to them are forbidden by the prison administration. According to the source, this information comes after Saudi-Emirati coalition factions were previously accused by international human rights organizations of engaging in the worst forms of violations against detainees and abductees inside dozens of covert prisons in areas under their control.
A young man died of torture in a Tariq Saleh’s forces prison a few days ago in the city of Al-Khawkhah, which is located south of the Al-Hudaydah province. He had a psychological disorder, while a physically handicapped man died after being tortured in a prison controlled by an Emirati faction in the city of Al-Mokha, west of the Yemeni province of Taiz.
