This came in a statement issued by the spokesman of the brigades, Abu Ubaida, via Telegram, noting that the fighters of the brigades “targeted Israeli forces infiltrating into positions and deployment areas with anti-fortification shells and anti-personnel devices, engaging in direct clashes with it from a distance of zero, and certainly killed them.”

Earlier, the brigades stated in separate statements that its fighters had been able since the morning to target five Zionist tanks and five personnel carriers in the eastern axis of Gaza with Al-Yassin 105 missiles.

In another statement, the brigades added that their fighters targeted “enemy (Israeli) gatherings east of the occupied (settlement) of Majin with a rocket barrage and shelled the settlements of ‘Nirim’, ‘Sderot’, and ‘Netivot’ in the Gaza envelope with rocket barrages.”

The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced on Monday that it targeted the settlements of Nirim, Nir Ishaq, and Nir Oz in the Gaza envelope with rocket barrages in response to the targeting of civilians in the sector.

The humanitarian truce between Palestinian resistance factions and Israel, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the US, came to an end after seven days during which prisoner exchanges took place and limited humanitarian aid was brought into the Strip, which is inhabited by about 2.3 million Palestinians.

Israel is conducting brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, targeting homes and civilian institutions, resulting in over 18,000 martyrs and 42,000 injuries as of Monday afternoon, in addition to massive infrastructure destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
