Mystery surrounds the fate of an Israeli ship was targeted in the Red Sea
The fate of a new Israeli cargo ship remains shrouded in mystery after it came under attack in the Red Sea on Wednesday.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The British Marine Trade Organization, which specializes in tracking ship movements worldwide, reported that a cargo ship was targeted by a drone attack west of the port of Hudaydah.
In its statement, the organization urged ships to exercise caution, maneuver, and for the Israeli ships to change its course.
The statement didn’t provide details about what occurred.
This latest attack comes just two days after the US Central Command revealed hours-long clashes with Yemeni forces in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb while attempting to break the blockade that Sana’a had placed in place for Israeli ships.
According to the US statement, the confrontations resulted in damage to two Israeli cargo ships, one of which was hit by a ballistic missile and the other by a drone, in addition to the USS Carney coming under attack by three drones.
Approximately two weeks ago, Sana’a forces announced a ban on the activities of Israeli ships and those cooperating with them to and from Israeli ports in the Red Sea. During that time, they managed to seize the Israeli ship Galaxy Leader and conducted airstrikes against other ships that didn’t comply with the directives and attempted to seek US protection in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean.
