70%of Palestinians who were killed during the war, women and children


The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah said in a statement on Sunday that about 18,800 Palestinians—70% of them women and children—were killed in Gaza between October 7 and December 15.

The ministry said that among the dead are more than 300 workers in the health sector, 86 journalists, 135 employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East, and about 35 civil defense teams.

The ministry added that more than 5,1100 people were injured, while dozens more are still missing.

In its report, the Ministry indicated that only eight out of 36 hospitals are partially operating in the sector and that the occupancy rates rose to 206% in patients ’departments and 250% in intensive care units.

Until last week, December 10, more than 22,000 goals had been hit in Gaza since Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7.
