Why did Al-Houthi limit his threats to Saudi Arabia despite his ability to invade the areas of its factions?

For the first time since the start of the Saudi war on Yemen, the leader of Ansar Allah, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, directly directed his threats towards Saudi Arabia, even though he has the capability to indicate that there will not remain a single inch under the control of its factions in the south and west of Yemen. So why did Al-Houthi limit his messages to Saudi Arabia this time?

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Even before the recent speech by Al-Houthi on the occasion of the new Hijri year, Saudi Arabia believed that it had succeeded in extricating itself from the quagmire of the war on Yemen, and it began to market itself as nothing more than a mediator while it was cooking up the escalation against northern Yemen on a low flame with the hands of the forces loyal to it in the south.

Saudi narcissism reached the point of theorizing about agreements between those they describe as “brothers” in Yemen, as if it had not led the war in 2015 and had not mobilized the world’s fleets and mercenaries for nearly nine years. Even in times of pressure, it would escape by directing the helm toward the Yemeni forces on the other side of Yemen, although they are powerless and have no strength, and all its leaders work on a daily wage basis with the Saudi ambassador.

Today, after nine years of war and about two years of truce through Omani mediation, the leader of Ansar Allah, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, is recalibrating the equation. The confrontation has always been and continues to be with Saudi Arabia, as it is the biggest enemy of Yemen, the one behind every military and economic escalation, and the only one that will be at the forefront in the event of reactivating the war with a new strategy.

Al-Houthi is fully aware that Saudi Arabia’s ability to confront militarily after all the great turns that Yemen has gone through and managed with skill and strong resistance, starting with the Saudi war and reaching the confrontation with the evil trio in Washington, Tel Aviv, and London, and behind them Arab and Western blocs and regimes, seems almost impossible. However, he is trying to remind it that he will not accept any infringement on the dignity of Yemeni citizens or more sedatives in light of the economic escalation of the proxy war, and any ill-considered steps or misreading of the calculations may lead to a response in the form of a large-scale war in its ugliest forms.
