What is Yemen cooking up for occupation and raises American-Western-Saudi concern?
The pace of American-Western and even Saudi concern regarding Yemen has escalated amid “the calm before the storm.” What is Yemen preparing, and why has it become a nightmare for the allies of the Israeli occupation?
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
In recent days, the American administration has not calmed down regarding the Yemen file. On the diplomatic front, it sent its envoy Tim Lenderking to Iraq to discuss a new mediation with Sana’a amid American leaks about a new offer that includes negotiations regarding the Red Sea.
Militarily, leaders of factions loyal to it in the north of Yemen were summoned to Washington for the first time, where meetings are being held in which the US Departments of Defense and State participate, along with the White House.
These movements effectively ended with the resumption of airstrikes on Hudaydah amidst reports of new Yemeni operations, which are indications of Yemen’s rejection of American offers linking the cessation of operations to political and economic privileges for what it describes as the “Houthis,” who originally linked the cessation of operations to ending the aggression, lifting the blockade on Gaza, and supporting the Lebanese people as well.
The activity was not limited to America but also included other parties, notably the European Union, which reinforced its mission with aerial reconnaissance aircraft to conduct daily patrols in the Red Sea, and Saudi Arabia, which tried in recent days in support of the occupation, to entice Yemen to halt its operations in exchange for privileges as well.
Regardless of these efforts aimed at isolating Yemen from its resistant surroundings within the strategy of dismantling the axis, there is something Yemen is preparing to implement that has begun to worry those parties allied with occupation, which have also failed to protect it.
This readiness, which Iran hinted at through a media statement by its ambassador in Sana’a, Mohammad Ramadan, circulated by the media and included signals that Yemen is preparing for major operations, following a meeting between the Iranian Foreign Minister and the head of the Yemeni negotiating delegation in Muscat, Mohammed Abdulsalam.
In reality, Yemen is making major arrangements, as hinted at by Yemeni military and political leaders. The most prominent of these indications point to a new escalation phase, which could be the sixth and could coincide with Yemen’s celebration of the anniversary of its decision to join the “Al-Aqsa flood” in support of Gaza, which falls in November.
This phase could be larger than the fifth, which witnessed dramatic developments not only in terms of the entry of new missiles and drones but also in expanding the scope and area of operations by targeting settlements further than Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Haifa, and even Eilat, which have remained on the list of targets for Yemeni forces in recent months.
Yemen has not revealed much about its arrangements, and the current focus is on training to storm settlements, indicating that the upcoming phase may involve Yemen merging with the forces of resistance in the fronts of Palestine and Lebanon. But certainly, there are arrangements being prepared, especially this comes amid expectations that the occupation will further expand the scope of escalation in the coming period.
