Sana’a Foreign Ministry: The explosion of the ship in the Red Sea didn’t stir the world despite the danger of the cargo it carried

Jamal Amer, the foreign minister of the Sana’a government, said on Sunday that the incident of the explosion of the Chinese ship ASL Bauhinia south of the Red Sea, heading from the UAE to Saudi Arabia, did not receive adequate attention from the parties concerned, despite Ambrey’s assurances that the ship was carrying dangerous cargo, but the incident did not generate the debate it deserves.

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Amer pointed out that “countries and environmental organizations ignored the investigation into the nature of the cargo, and the incident was exploited to imply that the Red Sea is still dangerous despite the truce in Gaza.”

He confirmed that the Yemeni investigations revealed that the ship was coming from the port of Jebel Ali in the UAE, carrying 1,290 tons of dangerous materials, heading to the port of Jeddah.

Amer explained that “the incident raises questions about the nature of the cargo and the silence of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which indicates international collusion and a negative stance from the concerned organizations.”

Amer called on “the international organizations to conduct a transparent investigation about the danger of the cargo and its impact on the marine environment in the Red Sea.”

This statement comes after an explosion that occurred last Tuesday on a Chinese container ship off the coast of Hudaydah in the Red Sea, which caused a fire that forced its crew to evacuate the ship.
