Widespread human rights condemnations of the Israeli aggression on Yemen

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights condemned, in the strongest terms, the Israeli-American aggression that targeted the port of Hudaydah and the cement factory in the city of Bajel, hours after targeting residential neighborhoods in the capital Sana’a.

Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The ministry considered that the aggression on civilian facilities protected by international law, such as the port of Hudaydah, which is a vital artery for the needs of the Yemeni people to stay alive, to be aimed at starving and decimating Yemenis in the midst of the worst humanitarian crisis globally, according to the UN.

The ministry said that these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and stoke the flames of conflict in the entire region, for which the US and the usurping entity bear direct responsibility.

For its part, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights held the UN, primarily the Security Council and the Human Rights Council, the countries of the world, and various international and human rights organizations fully responsible for the American-Israeli-British aggression on Yemen.

It called on the Security Council to hold an emergency meeting to stop the aggression on Yemen and fulfill its duty to implement the rules of protecting civilians from genocide, in accordance with the relevant international agreements as the UN has failed to implement them and protect civilians from genocide and forced displacement in Palestine.

The ministry confirmed Yemen’s right to defend its sovereignty, people, independence and territorial integrity by all available and possible options guaranteed by international agreements, especially the United Nations Charter.

It stated that these crimes do not expire over time, and that she will continue to monitor all the crimes and aggressive violations against Yemen and its people, in preparation for prosecuting the entity and its supporters, and their prosecution in both the national and international judiciary.
