International concerns about the impact of the Israeli aggression on Sana’a, with doubts about a Saudi role

On Wednesday, the UN expressed concerns about the impact of the recent Israeli aggression on the political process in Yemen.

This coincides with suspicions about a Saudi role in the destruction of the last civilian plane.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, considered the recent aggression on Sana’a as exacerbating the already fragile situation in Yemen and the region, noting that the timing of the raid would deprive thousands of Yemenis from traveling to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.

Grundberg called for the need to return to a Yemeni dialogue with regional support as the only way to achieve security and stability for Yemen and the region.

Grundberg’s statements came on the eve of Yemeni suspicions of a Saudi role in targeting the only civilian plane at Sana’a Airport.

Activists on social media reported that the targeting of the plane, less than half an hour after its return from Jordan, indicates prior arrangements with parties in the coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, which grants licenses to the plane to cross its airspace.

The plane had recently started the process of transporting pilgrims from Sana’a to Jeddah, which was a shock to Saudi Arabia, which had counted on the previous three planes going out of service due to the Israeli aggression to keep Yemen besieged by air as part of pressure efforts to achieve a new agenda.
