Foreign Website: No naval force can confront Yemen, and Sana’a’s military presence can’t be denied
Richard Meade, editor-in-chief of “Lloyd’s List,” a specialized maritime transport publication, confirmed that Sana’a’s forces have become a key player in the Red Sea and that their operations are no longer random but rather rely on organized military planning, causing concern among international naval coalitions.
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Meade explained that the targeting of the ships “Magic Seas” and “Eternity Sea” earlier this month marked a significant turning point, as the attack was carried out with multiple small boats in a precise manner, leading to the sinking of both vessels—reflecting a major advancement in Sana’a’s capabilities.
He noted that the release of footage by the military media showing eleven crew members of the “Eternity Sea” alive shocked the maritime transport industry, indicating that Sana’a is not limited to military response but also employs media messaging to impose a new equation in the Red Sea.
Meade added that Sana’a’s naval activity has shifted from defensive to offensive and proactive, prolonging the ongoing maritime confrontation, which has lasted for over six hundred days, confirming that any ship dealing with the Israeli entity has now become a target.
He concluded with a warning that these developments could lead to a broader wave of sailor detentions and ship destructions, given the international community’s inability to enforce a new deterrence equation in the region.
