A ground attack targeting the largest US bases in the Indian Ocean… Al-Shabaab claim responsibility, American accusations of the Houthis

On Saturday, the largest US bases on the Indian Ocean were attacked in an unprecedented attack.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Media reports said that gunmen launched a missile attack on a US forces base in the Somali city of Kismayo on the Indian Ocean, and the Somali Al-Shabaab movement claimed responsibility for the attack, confirming the death and injury of a number of US soldiers.

The movement considered the attack a response to the Israeli massacres in Gaza.

Contrary to what the movement reported, US media quoted Trump administration officials as accusing those they described as “Houthis” of orchestrating the attack.

This is not the first time that America has accused Ansar Allah of supporting Somali Al-Shabaab, as the “Houthis” have previously been referred to in several naval attacks carried out by Somali movements in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean targeting ships as part of the Gaza support operations launched by Yemen in November 2023.
