After the Red Sea… America is heading to lose the battle of the Indian Ocean
On Saturday, the Indian Ocean took center stage in the Middle East with the first ground operation against the most prominent American bases on its most important coastline, so what does this mean?
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
In February 2024, with the start of the American aggression against Yemen, the US concluded an agreement with the Somali president to establish five military bases along the coastal areas overlooking the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean and actually began establishing its largest base in Kismayo.
This base was important to the Trump administration, which subsequently launched an aggression against Yemen from one of the islands in the Indian Ocean, with its bases in Somalia providing logistical support in terms of espionage, reconnaissance, and early warning of attacks on ships.
This base also serves as a rest stop for US forces travelling on the only aircraft carrier fleet in the region, “Nimitz,” between the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
Today, with the recording of the first ground attack on the most important American bases, American influence in this strategic region is in imminent danger. Regardless of who is behind the attack, it sounds the alarm and heralds a new development targeting America’s last outlets to the Gulf and expanding the scope of its withdrawal from the region.
