An American-Israeli maneuver by returning to war in Gaza after the prisoner release
On Sunday, the Israeli occupation and the US resumed maneuvering with the war card again in Gaza, coinciding with the anticipation of the official implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said in a brief statement that he directed special forces to prepare to dismantle what he described as Hamas’s weapon represented by the agreement, indicating that the operation will take place after the return of the prisoners.
These statements coincided with similar statements from US Vice President JD Vance, who said that his country does not intend to send ground forces to Israel or Gaza, commenting on Israeli reports about arrangements to deploy 200 soldiers to coordinate the Gaza agreement.
The US president himself downplayed the possibility of continuing to implement the remaining rest of the agreement’s provisions despite his promises.
Trump said, “We first want to retrieve the Israeli prisoners, and after that, we will see what happens.”
It is not yet clear whether the American statements are an attempt to appease the far-right in Israel, which insists on returning to war after the prisoner agreement, or to pressure for accelerating the implementation of the agreement. However, the Israeli statements indicate that the occupation is resurfacing under the pretext of Hamas’s weapons, which have been a subject of controversy in Israel in recent hours.
