A Western study: Saudi Arabia planned to keep Yemen weak since the start of its aggression in2015
A new German study issued by the global publishing house “Springer Professional,” titled “The Reckoning with Yemen Under Saudi-American Bombs,” has revealed the real objectives of the aggression launched by Saudi Arabia against Yemen since 2015.

The study clarified that the war was not motivated by what was called “restoring legitimacy,” as promoted by Riyadh and its allies, but rather resulted from a Saudi desire to prevent any political transformation that would grant Yemen real independence that could threaten its influence in the Arabian Peninsula.
The study demonstrated that the US-backed Saudi coalition worked from the very first days of the aggression to keep Sana’a politically, economically, and militarily weak to ensure the Kingdom’s border security and control over the vital maritime passages in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
It also confirmed that the war transformed from a limited operation into a comprehensive aggression that destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and created one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world, where millions of Yemenis live under the weight of hunger, disease, and displacement, while Washington continued to support Riyadh through arms deals and refueling aircraft, making it a direct partner in the war and stripping it of any moral justification.
In conclusion, the study viewed that Saudi policy towards Yemen is based on what it described as “preventive hegemony,” meaning a permanent endeavor to keep the neighboring state weak and unstable, considering that a guarantee for Saudi security, even at the cost of the suffering of the Yemeni people and the destruction of their future.
