Nasser Medical Complex confirmed on Sunday the death of a child from an explosion of unexploded ordnance left behind by the Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
On Saturday evening, another child was also reported killed by an explosion of military ordnance belonging to the Israeli army in the vicinity of Hamad City, northwest of Khan Younis.
The Rapid Response Unit in the Gaza Strip warned last Wednesday of the widespread presence of unexploded ordnance in areas affected by the Israeli aggression, emphasizing that it poses a direct threat to civilian lives.
Medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex reported that the child killed yesterday was from the Al-Astal family and died as a result of an explosion caused by an object left behind by the Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis.
