An Israeli military force advanced into Lebanese territory on Wednesday, demolishing a house in a town in southern Lebanon, while a drone dropped a bomb on an excavator in another town, in the latest violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The official Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli military force advanced 1,600 meters into Lebanese territory after midnight, beyond the nearest border point.
The agency added that the force demolished a house in the border town of Houla in the Marjeyoun district of the Nabatieh Governorate (south).
Meanwhile, an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on an excavator in the town of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district (Nabatieh), according to the agency.
There was no immediate official statement from Israel regarding these attacks, but it typically claims to be targeting Hezbollah positions.
The ceasefire agreement was intended to end an offensive launched by Israel against Lebanon in October 2013, which escalated into a full-scale war in September 2014, leaving more than 4,000 dead and over 17,000 wounded. However, since the agreement came into effect on November 27, 2014, Israel has committed thousands of violations, resulting in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of Lebanese, as well as material destruction.
Israel continues to defy the agreement by occupying five Lebanese hills in the south, which it seized during the last war, in addition to other Lebanese territories it has occupied for decades.
