Artillery and air strikes and house demolitions in an escalation by the Israeli occupation

Israeli occupation forces carried out artillery and airstrikes and demolished homes in various areas of the Gaza Strip on Saturday, in continued violation of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 10.

Medical sources reported that Israeli warplanes fired machine guns at eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The sources confirmed that a Palestinian citizen was wounded by gunfire from an Israeli quadcopter drone near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Younis.

They noted that areas designated by the Israeli army as being under its control, known as the “Yellow Line,” east of the towns of Bani Suheila and Abasan al-Kabira, were subjected to artillery shelling, and that Israeli warplanes demolished what remained of Palestinian civilian structures and homes in those areas.

In Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles and aircraft opened fire in the western areas of the city, specifically in the area of the roundabout near the flag on the Rafah coast. Stray bullets reached the tents of displaced Palestinians near that area, amidst heavy reconnaissance flights.

In Gaza City, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes, targeting the Tuffah neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes east of Deir al-Balah and east of the Bureij refugee camp. Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.
