The “yellow line” is moving… How did it reach deep into a devastated neighborhood in Gaza?

Photos taken by satellites showing Israel’s destruction of dozens of buildings in Gaza, when it moved blocks drawing the “Yellow Line” deep into one of the city’s neighborhoods. According to the photos examined by “Reuters”, as well as residents’ testimonies, Israel destroyed dozens of buildings and displaced Palestinians when it moved blocks drawing the dividing line under the Hamas agreement deep into a city’s neighborhood, last December. Satellite images show that Israel has placed concrete blocks aimed at demarcating the “yellow line” in areas around Gaza, tens or sometimes hundreds of meters inside Hamas-controlled territory, and that its army also established at least 6 Fortifications for the positioning of his forces. The photos also show how Israel alone changed its line of control in Gaza and cordoned off more land Palestinians could live in, even as US President Donald Trump is moving forward with the Gaza end plan, which calls for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from more positions. The expanding area of Israeli control appears more evident in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, which was once historically in Gaza City, but has become a barren land where destroyed buildings and metal debris are spread by Israeli bombing for two years. Thousands of Palestinians took refuge in Al-Tuffah neighborhood after the ceasefire took effect last October, which was supposed to witness the withdrawal of Israeli forces to the yellow line specified on the military maps, and extends almost along the entire Gaza Strip and sticks to the eastern edge of the neighborhood. But satellite images of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, which were taken on the second and 13th of last December, show that Israel initially placed blocks on the Hamas side of the Yellow Line and then moved them to a distance of approximately 200 meters inward. “Reuters” analysis of the photos shows that after the yellow-coated blocks were transferred, the Israeli army began to level the area with the land and destroy at least 40 buildings, and now only a few of the buildings standing between the newly developed blocks and the yellow line remain. It was not clear how Israel demolished the buildings, but previously used a mixture of aerial bombardment, tight bombings and bulldozers.
