Early Israeli closure of Ben Gurion Airport
On Monday, the Israeli occupation approved a series of new measures in anticipation of widespread attacks in the region, as a new aggression against Iran is anticipated.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Israeli media reported that the head of the Civil Aviation Authority issued a warning to international airlines that the end of this week could be “decisive” regarding the confrontation with Iran.
Channel 13 quoted Shmuel Zakai as saying that the occupation might be forced to close airspace again to international flights, especially those heading to Tel Aviv’s international airport.
The airport is one of several targets that, in recent years of war, have consistently been targeted by Axis forces in Yemen, Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq.
The most important airport has featured more prominently during Yemeni strikes that accompanied pressure on the occupation to lift the siege on Gaza.
Yemen caused the airport to go out of service several times, as international airlines decided to cancel their flights to the occupation and redirect them to other destinations in compliance with directives from the Yemeni forces following the May attack last year.
