Including breaking the blockade on forces and targeting the aircraft carrier… Modifications to the US maneuver in the Gulf

On Monday, the US made radical modifications to its plans for a maneuver in the Gulf. This coincides with it receiving strong threat messages regarding the consequences of any military escalation in the region.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The US Central Command reported that it is preparing to conduct a large-scale exercise lasting several days. The exercise, according to the US presentation, focuses on full readiness for rapid air transport, indicating the possibility of US forces—especially those aboard battleships—facing a naval blockade that could cut off supply chains. It also includes defensive measures to intercept missile attacks on the US aircraft carrier.

The upcoming exercise comes as American media reports discuss the arrival of the aircraft carrier “USS Abraham Lincoln” to the region without specifying its location.

US forces were compelled to move the “Lincoln” via a long route extending from the Pacific Ocean to the farthest point in the Indian Ocean, where it is currently expected to be stationed. US forces were unable to move any battleship through the closer passage in the Bab Al-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden.

America’s decision to conduct the new maneuver comes amid strong messages, most notably those conveyed by media reports about the Yemeni forces launching new missiles as a show of force, in addition to expectations of several combat fronts within the axis engaging should escalation against Iran occur.

The maneuver, which is the largest and first of its kind since Yemen forced US battleships to leave the region after a series of attacks that nearly sank its most important fleets in the Red Sea, reflects American fears regarding the consequences of any actual escalation.
