Civil Defense announces its vehicles have completely stopped working due to the Israeli blockade

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that its vehicles have completely ceased operations due to fuel shortages and the lack of even the minimum resources needed to carry out humanitarian interventions. It called for urgent intervention to resolve the crisis.
In a brief statement, the Civil Defense explained that the fuel depletion has halted body recovery operations, as vehicles are unable to move. It also prevented the continuation of hazard removal operations due to the lack of fuel needed to operate heavy equipment.
The statement indicated that the crisis has directly impacted the speed of response to distress calls, particularly given the harsh weather conditions and storms that require a high level of field readiness and continuous operational capacity.
The Civil Defense urged international institutions and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to provide humanitarian teams with the fuel necessary to operate vehicles and equipment, ensuring the continued provision of humanitarian services and the saving of lives.
This crisis comes amidst the severe restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation on fuel entry into the Gaza Strip, which has exacerbated the deterioration of various vital sectors, at a time when the Strip is already experiencing extremely difficult humanitarian conditions.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025, resulting in the deaths of 526 Palestinians, in addition to obstructing the entry of agreed-upon quantities of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American and European support, has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and arbitrary arrests, ignoring international appeals and orders from the International se its actions.
