Israel is intensifying its offensive operations in the Gaza Strip, with attacks escalating over the past period, despite its primary focus on the Iranian and Lebanese fronts.
The Israeli military movements demonstrate an escalation against the Hamas government’s police force by targeting its positions and vehicles. The aim of these operations is to eliminate the movement’s authority in the Strip, a goal Israel has pursued since the beginning of the war.
In this context, on Tuesday evening, Israeli forces killed two police officers as they attempted to organize the entry of commercial trucks and aid into the Fash Farsh area of Rafah. The attacks also resulted in injuries among passersby.
On the same Tuesday, a drone targeted police officers near al-Faluja in the northern Gaza Strip, killing a boy who was near the site of the attack. Security personnel were also targeted in the Asqoula area near Gaza City, where they were on a security deployment mission.
According to field sources, there has been a noticeable escalation in Israeli attacks on security points, whether belonging to the police or the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. The objective is to thwart attempts by armed groups to carry out assassinations or infiltrate Israeli forces.
