Lebanon’s Health Ministry said an Israeli airstrike on the southern town of Kfar Hatta killed seven people on Sunday, including a four-year-old child.
The ministry added in a statement that another Israeli attack on the Jnah neighborhood of Beirut killed four and wounded 39.
The attack on Kfar Hatta came after the Israeli military issued an evacuation order overnight for residents to leave the town.
As Christians in Lebanon celebrated Easter, the country experienced one of its most violent days since the latest fighting with Israel began early last month. Christians make up nearly a third of Lebanon’s population.
The sounds of airstrikes and low-flying aircraft echoed throughout the day in the capital, Beirut. State media reported that Beirut’s southern suburbs were hit by eight airstrikes.
