Saudi Arabia is under bombardment… Explosions and missiles target the Jubail industrial facility

Activists and local platforms posted videos at dawn today, Tuesday, showing towering flames and thick smoke rising following a missile strike targeting the Jubail area in eastern Saudi Arabia.

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The footage showed the moment of the missile strike on oil facilities in the Jubail area, with large explosions appearing and dense smoke clouds rising from the explosion site.

This incident represents a new escalation within the missile attacks targeting strategic facilities in the Kingdom, amid ongoing regional tensions in the Gulf.

Activists reported that the documented scenes were extraordinary, showing the moment strategic missiles reached the Jubail Industrial Complex.

One blogger said, “A scene showing the penetration of Saudi and American air defenses and powerful explosions coinciding with the missiles falling on vital facilities.”

The Jubail Industrial Area is a vital industrial center linked to the US through joint investments in petrochemicals and American technical and engineering support for its factories.

Some of its facilities also include American protection and security systems, making it a strategic point with international economic and security impact.

One open-source expert said, “The destruction of petrochemical plants in the Jubail Industrial Area is a highly significant event and is seen as an Iranian response to the Israeli-American airstrikes that targeted the Iranian Assaluyeh petrochemical complex today.”

He continued: “This escalation is expected to lead to a sharp rise in oil prices tomorrow, with the possibility of exceeding $200 per barrel.”

He added: “If the US proceeds with its strikes on Iranian infrastructure, including bridges and power generation stations tomorrow night, tensions may escalate further, which could drive oil prices above $300 per barrel.”
