Iranian television showed scenes documenting the moment when missile units and drones of the Iranian army’s navy carried out a bombing operation targeting American destroyers as part of a military response to the “repeated aggressions” on Iranian ships.

Reports indicated that the Iranian navy carried out the attack using cruise missiles and attack drones, in response to two Iranian oil tankers being assaulted by American destroyers, according to the Iranian narrative.

Earlier, the Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced on Friday that American forces targeted an Iranian oil tanker and another ship while they were entering the Strait of Hormuz, noting that the operation was carried out in coordination with “countries in the region.”

The Iranian military headquarters added that the American attacks targeted civilian areas on the coasts of Bandar Khamir and Sirik, in addition to Qeshm Island, affirming that Iranian forces responded “immediately” by targeting American naval vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar.

The Khatam Al-Anbiya headquarters stressed that Iran “will respond forcefully and without hesitation” to any aggression or transgression amid escalating military tension in the region.
