Qalibaf: We have cancelled nine enemy targets, and the Strait of Hormuz will not return to pre-war conditions
The Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammed Baqer Qalibaf, affirmed that the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” represents a document of historical defeat for the US of America, stressing that Tehran imposed its conditions completely in both the field and diplomacy and forced Washington and Tel Aviv to retreat from their nine declared objectives since the beginning of the war.
Tehran – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Qalibaf explained in a statement that it was the enemy who was desperate for a ceasefire after an initial Iranian refusal, noting that US President Donald Trump submitted to the demands and lifted the blockade within a single night, and it was abolished within three days instead of the previously scheduled thirty-day deadline, in parallel with the expansion of the ceasefire to extend from the southern suburb to include all Lebanese territory.
On the strategic and navigational front, Qalibaf asserted that the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre-war conditions, announcing Iran’s exercise of its full sovereign right over the strait under international laws granting riparian states rights and obligations, affirming that Tehran will receive financial fees from others for maritime services.
Regarding financial gains, he indicated that the agreement’s terms settled the status of frozen Iranian funds by placing them directly in the accounts of the Iranian Central Bank to be under its full disposal, in addition to stipulating a $300 billion item for investment in Iran, part of which will be allocated to the reconstruction file, revealing that his country’s strength prompted three European countries to eagerly seek negotiations with Tehran to lift sanctions.
On the field and deterrence dimensions, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly affirmed that any airport in any country from which enemy fighters took off was directly struck during the battle, explaining that Tehran’s most important guarantee is not a Security Council resolution but rather Iran’s strength and the harmony of its people.
He stressed that the negotiations were conducted under the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, and their applications are based on the principle of “step for step” with a covenant-breaking enemy, warning that if America does not fulfill its commitments, Iran will not take any step, and its slogan will be “the one who starts is more unjust.”
The Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly concluded by affirming that the fighters’ hands remain on the trigger and that the distance between diplomatic and military confrontation is very close, vowing that those who don’t understand logic will be made to understand it by force, following complex negotiations that witnessed extensive discussions mediated by Pakistan and the holding of 6 negotiation and bilateral rounds within just 24 hours to end the war and lift the blockade as a fait accompli imposed by the strength of the field.
