The first after the Switzerland understandings… An attack targets a cargo ship in the Sea of Oman

Reuters news agency reported that a cargo ship was struck by an unknown projectile southeast of a port in the Sultanate of Oman, the first such incident since the signing of the Swiss understandings between America and Iran.

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) stated that the incident occurred 7.5 nautical miles southeast of the port.

It indicated that the ship’s captain confirmed no injuries or environmental damage had occurred, despite the ship suffering physical damage from the hit.

The sources didn’t disclose the identity of the targeted ship, the nature of the projectile, or the party responsible for the attack. The incident comes after renewed warnings from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy that navigational security in the Strait of Hormuz will be linked to the “Iranian arrangement” in the region.
