The US began preparing on Monday for a new round of negotiations with Iran, following two days of confrontations in the region.

The US allowed Qatar to release $6 billion. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that his country has reached an agreement with Qatar to lift the freeze on half of Iran’s frozen assets, estimated at $12 billion.

The announcement came on the eve of the US revealing a new round of negotiations with Iran.

The White House spokeswoman confirmed that US envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will participate in the upcoming negotiations in Doha, affirming that the discussions will focus on the Strait of Hormuz. She also affirmed Trump’s pursuit of reaching the end of the agreement.
