The death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,066, with 173,514 wounded.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted the Palestinian Ministry of Health as saying that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received eight new fatalities and 24 wounded in the past 24 hours. The ministry added that the total number of deaths since the ceasefire on October 10 has risen to 1,053, and the number of injuries to 3,406.
The ministry also noted that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as rescue and ambulance crews are unable to reach them.
