The Muslim Brotherhood reveals Yemeni arrangements for the largest maneuver to close Bab Al-Mandeb

The Muslim Brotherhood revealed on Wednesday arrangements for the largest maneuver in Yemen simulating the closure of Bab Al-Mandeb.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The “Sheba Intelligence” website, run by leaders of the group residing in Britain, published a report claiming that those it describes as the “Houthis” are preparing for a massive maneuver in the Red Sea. The site claimed that the anticipated maneuver simulates the closure of Bab Al-Mandeb.

This is the first time the group has spoken of arrangements for a maneuver simulating the closure of Bab Al-Mandeb. Although leaders of the Ansar Allah movement, the “Houthis,” have hinted at closing the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait amid escalation against Saudi Arabia, the alleged maneuver hasn’t been officially announced.

Talk of closing Bab Al-Mandeb reflects the “Brotherhood’s” desire in light of American reports about rapprochement between the group’s branches, specifically the Sudanese branch and the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen.

Yemen had previously closed the vital strait in the region amid confrontation with the Israeli occupation that began in November 2023.
