Sixty detainees from Gaza held in Israeli prisons arrive at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital

Israeli occupation authorities released a new group of 60 prisoners and detainees from the Gaza Strip on Monday evening through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing. They were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah to receive medical treatment.

The Prisoners’ Media Office explained that the released group included 20 Palestinian workers who were arrested inside the 1948 occupied territories following the events of October 7th, in addition to 40 detainees who had been held in the Negev Desert prison under harsh conditions.

Teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross received the released prisoners and ensured their transfer by designated buses to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza Strip.

Palestinian medical sources confirmed that the released detainees underwent immediate medical assessments upon their arrival at the hospital to determine their health conditions. Data circulating showed that the occupation authorities released about 1,700 prisoners and detainees from the Gaza Strip in separate batches during the past months, while the new batch is considered one of the largest limited releases of detainees from the Strip in several months.
