Prominent American Commander: A number of our bases in the Middle East are no longer usable as a result of Iranian attacks

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The former commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM) and former director of the CIA, David Petraeus, stated that a number of American bases and facilities in the Middle East are no longer usable as a result of Iranian attacks.

In an interview with the “State Secret” podcast, he affirmed that his main concern lies in the combination of weapons and capabilities that Iran still possesses, confirming that “our former bases are no longer usable.”

He explained that the CENTCOM commander no longer runs operations from his former headquarters at Al-Udeid Air Base outside Doha, indicating that the site is no longer usable due to Iranian retaliatory attacks.

Petraeus added that half of these facilities are destroyed on the ground, and they were beautiful facilities worth $100 million that the Qataris built for us, and I opened them myself, and it seems there are now some holes in their roof!

He indicated that the Combined Air Operations Center is no longer run from that area, nor are other command centers, noting that Iran has repeatedly announced it has targeted the CENTCOM naval base in Bahrain.

He said these developments come as Iran possesses capabilities it did not have before, including larger numbers of drones and missiles with a range capable of targeting American facilities, as well as the possibility of inflicting casualties among American soldiers and targeting vital energy infrastructure in the region and the world.
