Delays, Cancellations, and Flight Diversions… Yemeni Attacks Disrupt Aviation Movement in Saudi Arabia
Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The American magazine “Condé Nast Traveler,” specialized in tourism and travel, reported the occurrence of major delays in flights between Riyadh and a number of Gulf countries, on Tuesday, against the backdrop of the Yemeni attacks.
The magazine mentioned that the missile strikes coming from Yemen affected Saudi airspace, in conjunction with cancellations that hit flydubai airline’s flights heading to Abha during this week.
According to the magazine, some flights were diverted to King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while airlines continued to suspend their flights to Riyadh and Dammam, among them “KLM” and “Pegasus.”
“Condé Nast Traveler” noted that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and other Saudi airports called on travelers heading to the affected destinations to contact the airlines before heading to the airports, to verify the status of the flights.
