A Saudi Newspaper Confirms the Loss of the Last Areas of Bab Al-Mandeb and Airstrikes on Several Districts in Lahj
Saudi Arabia on Wednesday demolished the narrative of its factions regarding the developments in Bab Al-Mandeb, this comes days after propaganda about achieving progress.
Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The “Independent Arabia” newspaper, whose editor-in-chief is the Saudi journalist close to the Crown Prince, Adwan Al-Ahmari, quoted sources affirming that Dhubab District, the largest of the Bab Al-Mandeb cities, is still in the hands of the Houthis, noting that the factions affiliated with it tried to control mountainous heights in Lahj to secure the incursion, in an indication of the failure of the plan.
The Saudi acknowledgment of not achieving any progress toward Bab Al-Mandeb came with the expansion of the scope of the confrontations to the depth of Lahj Governorate, adjacent to the Taiz coast.
Saudi fighter jets launched intensive airstrikes on Al-Mansoura area, which belongs to the districts of Al-Mudaribah and Ras Al-Arah, in parallel with airstrikes also in Tur Al-Baha belonging to Lahj to the west, all of which are indications that the Saudi factions suffered a defeat there and withdrew to the depth.
The Saudi acknowledgment of the failure of the operation comes about 3 days after the announcement of a new campaign accompanied by wide media propaganda.
The Sana’a forces have controlled since last September the districts of the western coast from Al-Khawkhah south of Hudaydah up to Dhubab on the borders of Ras Al-Arah in Lahj.
