American Media: Sana’a has forced Washington to change its military strategy
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The American newspaper “Business Insider” reported that the recent confrontation between Washington and Sana’a in the Red Sea has pushed the US Navy to re-evaluate its combat doctrine and ammunition management strategies.
The newspaper cited Admiral Daryl Caudle’s statements before the Senate, in which he confirmed that the confrontation between the two parties formed a steep learning curve for the Navy, especially with regard to the selection of less expensive weapons instead of relying on expensive missiles like the SM-6.
Caudle explained that the interception of hundreds of Yemeni missiles and drones since October 2023 has cost the US Navy huge sums, revealing challenges in sustaining operations.
The newspaper indicated that the Yemenis have imposed a low-cost deterrence equation, which has confused the US Navy and forced it to modify its military strategies in the Red Sea.
