Globes Hebrew Website: Houthis impose a complex and daily deterrence equation on Israel

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Hebrew site “Globes” reported that the military equation between Israel and the Houthis is witnessing a clear imbalance in favor of the Houthis, as the Houthi group launched 70 ballistic missiles at Israel over 152 days, averaging one missile every two days, while Israel has only carried out 14 airstrikes on Yemen since the start of the war, averaging one attack every 48 days.

The site noted that Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz continues to issue threatening statements, including that “the Houthis will pay compound interest for every attempt to fire,” confirming that Israel imposes a naval and aerial blockade and targets infrastructure and energy in Yemen.

However, these statements, according to the site, do not reflect the ground reality, as the Houthi group continues its attacks at an escalating pace, using drones repeatedly, which burdens the Israeli air defense system.

The Hebrew site pointed out that the Houthis do not appear to be affected by the Israeli strikes but rather continue to send their political messages and strengthen their presence within the axis of resistance amid ongoing anti-Israel demonstrations in Sana’a every Friday.

The site questioned the effectiveness of the Israeli escalation, especially since the threats issued by Katz in May, which included targeting resistance leaders in Gaza, Beirut, and Tehran, have not translated into tangible results in Yemen, but on the contrary, the Houthi attacks continue at a high pace.

At the conclusion of its report, the Globes site indicated that what is called “compound interest” that Israeli officials are talking about may, in fact, be paid by Israel itself, which is engaged in an unequal war of attrition, facing increasing challenges in deterring the Houthi group, which is redrawing the equations of regional engagement.
