Sana’a clarifies to the UN Security Council the nature of the assassination of the government and informs it of the response
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
On Tuesday, Yemen confirmed that the latest Israeli aggression will not go without response.
This came in a letter to the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General sent by the Foreign Ministry, which included a clarification of Yemen’s positions and the repercussions of the latest aggression.
The letter affirmed the guarantee of Article 51 of the UN Charter and all international norms, covenants, and laws to respond to the crime.
It considered the Israeli aggression as a violation of international conventions and Yemeni sovereignty and a continuation of the crimes of targeting airports and ports that have been ongoing since July last year.
The letter held the international community responsible for the dangerous developments, considering its silence towards Israeli crimes as encouraging the escalation of aggression, which it described as dangerous and a threat to international security and peace.
It also considered the Yemeni support operations for Gaza a moral, religious, and humanitarian duty in light of the inability of the UN and the international community to stop the crimes of genocide committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip.
