UNRWA: The Gaza Strip is turning into an uninhabitable wasteland

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed that the Gaza Strip is being subjected to total destruction, adding that it is gradually becoming a wasteland unfit for human habitation.

UNRWA noted that children are starving, families are being forcibly displaced, and residents are living in a state of extreme terror.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini revealed on Sunday that Israel had bombed 10 UNRWA buildings in Gaza City in the past four days alone, including seven schools and two clinics currently serving as shelters for thousands of displaced people.

Days ago, the Israeli occupation began a gradual campaign of demolishing high-rise residential buildings in Gaza City, increasing the number of displaced families and forcing them into harsh displacement conditions. Observers warn that the goal is to forcibly displace Palestinians southward, as part of a broader Israeli-American plan to displace them outside the Strip.

This came in a post by the UN organization on the X platform, quoting Lazzarini, in which she stated that no place and no one is safe in Gaza City and its north, where the intensity of airstrikes is increasing, forcing more Palestinians to flee into the unknown.
